About the Role
As a Pharmacy Sales Representative, you will be at the front lines of Capsule's mission by building relationships with doctors and their staff to educate them about the benefits of Capsule for their patients and their practice. Your job is simple: get more doctors to tell more patients to make Capsule their pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include:
Proactively source, qualify, and gain access to practices within specific specialities in order to develop a robust book of practice partners
Discover each practice’s unique pain points: ask, listen, and learn from their unique pharmacy challenges impacting practice efficiency and patient experience
Tailor your pitch and approach to meet each practice’s needs with Capsule’s offering and value propositions
Become an expert on Capsule’s products, pharmacy services, and consumer and provider experience. You will also become an expert on pharmacy more broadly
Develop, own, and maintain deep relationships with providers and their office staff to ultimately deliver new prescription growth from target practices
Note: There is no such thing at Capsule as a “contract” or “an end to a sale.” You will gain new customer referrals from both existing and new practices by consistently developing and maintaining practice relationships
Requirements:
You have selling experience, including a proven ability to:
Identify, develop, and maintain relationships
Successfully sell/influence others to do something (elicit a referral, change behavior, close a deal, develop a partnership etc.)
Do discovery as part of a sales process: listen, learn, and guide potential solutions
You have healthcare experience, including:
A basic understanding of how the healthcare system works - insurance coverage, medical terminology, and you have experience interacting with doctors and medical personnel in contexts other than as a patient (many healthcare experiences meet this bar)
Comfort moving from cold-call to drop-in to lasting relationships with a wide range of medical professionals - from doctors to mid-level staff to pharmaceutical and other industry partners
You exhibit competencies crucial to success in the role, including:
Grit & Resilience: You demonstrate clarity of purpose and passion that enables you to make forward progress despite challenges. You continue to hustle within defined guardrails or constraints
Learning Agility: You learn from both failures and successes and incorporate learnings into new approaches to improve your performance. You ask a lot of questions, listen, and learn from responses. You like to brainstorm creative solutions - but can pivot to prioritize your ideas based on level of effort and impact
Need to Win:You don’t just want to win - you have to win. You’re competitive to your core. You bet on yourself. You know top and bottom performers amongst your peers and you seek to understand & bridge gaps to improve your personal performance
